Where are you originally from: Morgantown, West Virginia
What brought you to Washington, DC: Soon after college, I decided to move to DC for a job since I had a lot of family in the area. My friends (and now husband) have kept me here for eight years and now I consider it "home!" There are so many interesting people, great causes to be a part of, an awesome food scene, and tons of history. I love it!
School/Career: I went to college at a very small liberal arts school in Pennsylvania- Grove City College. I studied Business and Communications. I am a Business Development Director for a Business Advisory firm.
Hobbies: Traveling (both abroad and all around the US. My favorite place on earth is a toss up between Napa and Paris), Wine (we have a big collection, hence my love for Napa and Paris!), Fitness (whether it's teaching/taking dance classes, HIIT, Pilates Reformer, or making myself run...fitness and a healthy lifestyle is important. It's all about balancing out all the wine and decadent food I consume when traveling haha).
Women who inspire you: Joanna Gaines, Giuliana Rancic, Amal Clooney, Ivanka Trump.
Favorite motivational quote: "She is clothed in strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."
Why is it important for you to be part of LS: Lipstick Sister is such a strong group of women who lift each other up and empower one another to do great things. We have a special bond and can have incredibly deep, judgment-free conversations but also can have the best time together just being lighthearted. At the end of the day, LS is important to me because these are the girls that you want to have your back and stand beside you!
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
